It opened on June 25, 2004. Petroglyph Development Group, together with Musqueam Capital Corp., has owned it jointly since June 16, 2026. The first belongs to Snuneymuxw First Nation, the second to Musqueam Indian Band. They bought it from Great Canadian Entertainment.
Hours are where it parts ways with Grand Villa. Burnaby's room is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. River Rock publishes no casino-wide hours, only hours for specific rooms. Plan around the room, not the building.
What is dealt on the floor
- Live tables: more than 80 live table games. Monday to Thursday, play goes from 10AM until 4AM; from Friday at 10AM it continues straight through to Monday at 4AM.

Hotel, theatre, food and parking
A Sky Bridge connects the Casino Tower to the Hotel Tower, which holds nearly 400 rooms. The pool has a water slide, and check-in is limited to guests aged 19 or older. The Show Theatre holds 1,000 people. Dining runs from Gordon Ramsay Steak and MIKU to Sea Harbour, KOI, Zio's, Chopsticks Noodlehouse and Rock House Burger & Fries.
Valet sits off River Road; the self-parking entrance is also on River Road, on the west side. Over-height vehicles use the East Parkade, at $25 per night. Overnight valet costs $33 per night. There is no published self-parking rate for casino visitors, and transit stations and routes are left out here by design. Entry is 19+, and the loyalty program is Encore Rewards.
