Burnaby Poker Room at Grand Villa Casino
This page covers poker in Burnaby, which comes down to one room at Grand Villa Casino. It says where the tables are, what is dealt and when. Two rooms in neighbouring cities follow, then a short checklist for a first session.
Grand Villa: Second Level, Twelve Tables
Grand Villa Casino keeps its poker room on the second level. Twelve tables are set up there. The room is open 24 hours daily, matching the casino itself: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Games on offer are no-limit Texas Hold'em and Omaha, both at several stake levels. This guide does not list the levels themselves.
Calling ahead settles the question. The poker room phone is (604) 453-0858, and staff there can confirm current games and stakes before anyone makes the trip.
Two Other Rooms Within Reach
Starlight Casino in New Westminster has a seven-table poker room off the main floor. Poker runs Sunday to Thursday from 11AM to late. Only Friday and Saturday are 24-hour days there, so a midweek night owl should check before heading over.
River Rock Casino Resort, at 8811 River Road in Richmond, is open 24/7 and runs a poker room. Weekly tournaments start Sunday at 12pm and Wednesday at 7pm. That is the only tournament schedule this guide carries for the area.
Before a First Session
- Call the room at (604) 453-0858 for the current list of games and stakes.
- Decide a buy-in limit at home, where the decision is easier to keep.
- Bring photo ID for the door. The legal age for gambling in British Columbia is 19.
- Ask the floor staff how the waiting list works before assuming a seat is free.
- Keep an eye on the clock. The room never closes, so nothing will end the session for you.
